Franchise Brands Partner with National Charities to Support Breast Cancer Research and Raise Awareness
Every October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, millions of Americans join the fight against breast cancer by engaging in charitable initiatives to raise awareness and funds for research. This life-threatening illness impacts more than 2.3 million women globally and 1 in 8 women in the U.S. Many franchise brands proudly step up by partnering with national organizations like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and Susan G. Komen, giving customers the opportunity to make a difference at the register.
Below is a compilation of franchisors going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2024.
CertaPro Painters

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, CertaPro Painters has launched its sixth annual Paint it Pink Campaign, which has raised $555,000 since its inception in 2019. Participating franchisees will contribute a percentage of every painting project completed between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30 to Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the U.S. and Breast Cancer Canada. The painting brand aims to raise $160,000.
East Coast Wings + Grill
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, East Coast Wings + Grill launched a month-long donation campaign to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. From Oct. 1 – 31, all participating locations will donate $1 to BCRF for each ‘Pink Ribbon’ drink ordered. The campaign will culminate with a roundup of contributions at the end of the month.
Hungry Howie’s

Hungry Howie’s is kicking off its annual fundraising campaign, Love, Hope & Pizza, to raise awareness and program funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). This year, the pizza franchise spices up its Secret Menu with the addition of a limited-time, large Pink Pizza. Priced at $12, the new menu item will be available through Oct. 27, with 50 percent of sales donated directly to NBCF. The Pink Pizza is topped with mozzarella and edible pink glitter.
Additionally, Hungry Howie’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from all items sold in a pink pizza boxfrom Sept. 23 to Oct. 31 to benefit NBCF. Customers can do their part by rounding up their bill to the nearest dollar or by making a $1, $5, or $10 donation. The Love, Hope & Pizza initiative has raised over $5 million in proceeds since launching in 2009.
PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans

To fuel the fight against breast cancer, PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans has announced its first-ever national charity partnership with Susan G. Komen from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30 across all its locations. Throughout this 60-day campaign, PJ’s Coffee guests can donate $1, $3 or $5 at checkout. Every dollar raised directly benefits Susan G. Komen’s efforts to fund breast cancer research. Customers can also show their support by purchasing limited-edition pink PJ’s Coffee apparel, with 10% of the proceeds supporting Susan G. Komen.
Scooter’s Coffee

Through Oct. 31, Scooter’s Coffee invites fans to enjoy the Courage Cookie and Courage Quencher. The coffee brand is donating 20% of sales of these products to The Pink Agenda, a nonprofit organization committed to raising money for breast cancer research and care. Since 2020, Scooter’s Coffee has donated nearly $676,000 to The Pink Agenda and sold more than 1 million Courage Cookies.
Swig

Swig is on a mission to raise $300,000 as part of its fifth Save The Cups campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout October, Swig customers can contribute to the campaign by purchasing featured drinks, specialized merch or simply making a donation at the cash register.
